I don't even know if anybody is even going to read this, it seems like years since I last blogged here, but life has a way of getting in the way of even the best laid plans. I have been working alot in my new n ursing role, loving every second of it, but rarely having time to do much other than come home, make dinner and fall into bed.
Today I have had a rare day in my design room, and finally got to play with my laser machine :-) I have missed my buttons and my creative days, I think I will need to schedule them, and be a little more protective of my time away from work.
I have recut the advent tags in plain MDF .. I love the rustic look of timber and they are much much easier for my to produce, which of course means I can drop the price - the full set of 24 Advent tags are now just $28 , which is a massive drop from the previous $40... I have replaced one design as I just wasn't happy with the old one, so there is a new angel which is very cute.
This set is available now in the What's New section (and the Christmas section) at Button Bliss
Also in the What's New section is a new Nativity Bauble..., you will recognise this family from my Nativity button sets ... but I thought they were so cute they really should be hanging on a tree..
the bauble is 8 cm tall, so a good size and as it is cut from MDF it is so light it won't weigh your branches down.
Obviously at this time of year it's all about Christmas so I have decided to discount my Nativity stitchery .. it is 30% off and ready to post, and so quick to stitch you'll have it completed and hanging on the wall in a day or two.
the photo isn't brilliant.. I promise the button holes are really not that weird in real life! Anyhwooo, these are just $8.80 au from now up til December 25, numbers are limited so grab one while your fingers are still itching to stitch.
The next few weeks are going to be crazy as we head into the silly season. Hopefully I will get the chance to pop back and say hello again before 2013.. OMG 2013.. where did that year go???

Having been a nurse for 30 yrs, I certainly can understand the rush of time and the lack of time for "self". Take it from me, the time for yourself is the most critically important time of your life. Burnout in nursing is at an all time high and our profession is all about giving to others. If we forget to give to ourselves, we run out of "give" and are subject to mental and physical symptoms. Been there, done that, don't want to repeat it.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family,
Teresa
