Hello everyone.
Spring school holidays are finally here, and the sun is gorgeous. All the gardens are coming to life - Atchoo! I love this time of year, but I usually get to observe it through a haze of itchy eyes, runny nose and a healthy dose of hayfever medication.
School holidays also means lots of lazing around in PJ's and generally not rushing to go anywhere! Of course nursey school hasn't been gentle and we have been given a massive amount of homework to complete, but somehow it doesn't seem so bad when you can do it under your favourite tree with a cup of tea and a cat curled up next to you.
My studies are going well. We are up to Medications, such a huge amount of info to take in, but at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will finish in May next year and then be let loose on the public.. so if anyone plans on getting sick, you might want to hurry up and get it done and sorted before I hit the ward :-)
A Blog Group challenge from a group of blggy friends has asked me to choose my favourite post from my archive and remind you of it. I have spent hours re-reading through my previous posts.. gosh I have come a long way since the very first one. However I have narrowed it down to
and
** On the Run
School holidays for me means time to play. Designing and creating and stitching and painting. If you haven't visited for a while, pop over and have a look at the What's New page on the Button Bliss website. It is bursting at the seams with new buttons. I have been on a creative roll, which is great news for everyone.
There are also lots of little treasures in the On Sale page- bits and pieces which I have discontinued from the Button Bliss range. You'll find all sorts of little gems, and once they are gone.. that's it! I have written before about how unwieldy the Button Bliss range had become and I was finding it impossible to keep up stock on 300+ designs. Some items are just too time consuming to be able to offer them. But I usually have been able to come up with an alternative. Many of my readers will remember my Thread holders from a couple of years ago, and while they were gorgeous, they were difficult to keep up with and still maintain a good standard.
These are brand new and very cute
They are approx 76mm square making them a perfect little accesssory for a stitching bag. Smooth edges means there are no little bumps for precious threads to snag on, and with 10 holes, plenty of room for all threads required for a day or weekend away stitching.
I am delighted with how these have turned out- you can find them HERE on the Button Bliss website.
However, because it's school holidays and Spring and I'm happy, I am giving away 5 of these gorgeous little treasures.
Tell me how you spend a perfect spring day. Do you sit in the garden with a pile of craft magazines? Or do you go for a stroll and sneak peeks into all the neighbourhood gardens bursting into bloom? Is it time for a windows wide open Spring clean?
Please pop a link to this post on your webpage, blog or facebook page so everyone has a chance to enter.
(If you blog, feel free to add a link to your most recent post at the end of your message)
Winners will be announced on October 17 so start writing !
Have an awesome day wherever you are

Wow - More cute buttons. I also LOVE the school holidays.... doing nothing!!!
On a spring day I like to go to the local park with my family and my two dogs.... walk, sit and sew and of course buy some yummy homemade ice cream.

I love a spring day with nobody home but just me. Sitting with the cat on the garden seat, doing a little stitching, a bit of daydreaming, sipping a glass of ice tea and a bit of snoozing in the warm sun. What bliss.

My favorite thing to do in the Spring is walk around my yard looking for new life peaking through the earth.

Spring days... Sitting in the garden, stitching, garden in bloom with different flowers and scents. My dear husband making cups of tea, sitting with me, chatting, enjoying each other's company. Spring days...Ahhh

I love a beautiful, clear spring day...the air smells fresh and it's a joy to take the dogs outside to play. Sitting in the backyard with the dogs, a good book, a coffee and some stitching would be ideal.

Clear spring days are just perfect for getting the family together and having a BBQ or picnic as the weather is not to hot.

A walk on the beach - toes in the squeaky sand and strolling in the waters edge!

Hey Lisa! Cute thread keepers ... what a good idea to stop tangles, as well as a lovely gift idea to help put together a pretty kit for a friend ... hmmm ... good idea to add to my Christmas list ... or perhaps an OPAM prize! Tee! Hee! Hee! The perfect spring day ... well ... my FANTASY perfect spring day would be spent in a gorgeous cottage garden, sitting at a pretty wrought iron table with some equally pretty stitching friends to enjoy a 'high tea' picnic with lots of tasty treats, tea drunk out of vintage china cups and some stitching. Now I just have to find that garden ... shame mine doesn't match up! :0) Enjoy your weekend! Bear Hugs! KRIS

Your thread holders are gorgeous. What I like to do on a perfect spring day is to find a nice spot to sit and stitch while watching the kids playing. Of course, having a nice cappacino would top it off but I'd make do with a Nescafe!

Hi Lisa, I haven't visited for a while. Your new buttons are wonderful. :)
My favourite Spring morning involves an early morning walk with my little dog, Honey, followed by a lovely cup of coffee when I return home ( after feeding Honey and Buddy the budgie, of course). And I love spending evening in the garden too. Hugs, Sandy.

I guess you are really in the Spring mood (o: We have autumn here now. Some beautiful days at the moment with such lovely colors!
So, if spring comes again in half a year or so, I really look forward to take my walks with Bibi and experience all the changes in nature. Just like it is 'breaking' down now for us, it will build up again in spring (o:
Happy weekend!! And thank you for the chance to win one of those lovely thread keepers!
