We are definitely a cat house. You have met our owners before, Ginger a lovely fat pudding of a boy, and Yoshi, younger and eager, still with a teenagers build and more love to give out than we mere mortals can handle. Ginger has a lovely bed in the shed where he bangs around chasing imaginary dragons, and dreaming of sugar plum fairies.
Yoshi is an inside puss - he's not very brave and he and ginge don't really agree on some things. At night he likes to visit each member of the household to express his love and affection. Most nights at around 4am he wants to go outside only to get out there and change his mind.
So on Saturday, Hubby Handyman extraordinaire installed a cat flap in our laundry door.
And a pretty flashy one it is too. With a two way flap, puuurrspex viewing window, magnetic latch and holiday lock, it is the Taj Mahal of kitty doors, the kind that kittens aspire to having when they grow up.
Once installed we sat, me on one side, Hubby on the the other. Hmmmm I know we are supposed to be the adults here but....
"kids, find a cat!!!" we called. Allana appeared with Yoshi and for the next five minuted we sat pushing Yoshi's head through the door
"hello smooshy head, come here, come on, it's okay"
Grab cat, quick cuddle, turn him around
Push head against the door
"hi baby, it's a door, yes it is, yes it is"
Grab cat, quick cuddle, turn him around
Push head against the door
"Yoshi, Yoshi, come on smooshy, you can come through"
Grab cat, quick cuddle, turn him around
Push head against the door
"hello, puss-puss, aren't you clever? Come on..."
Grab cat, quick cuddle, turn him around
Push head against the door........
We sat there giggling like 5 year olds, passing the cat back and forth, and bless his little furry heart, the cat just tolerated it. Eventually he decided we were just bonkers and took off to hide under the trailer. But guess who very proudly trotted through the door on Saturday night, and wailed and miaowed so we could all tell him what a clever boy he was.
Two sleeps to go til Christmas - hope you are all ready for the jolly dude to come hohohoing down the chimney.
Happy holidays

Awww, that brings back memories of when we had to teach our kitty to use her little door. She didn't catch on quite as quickly as Yoshi ... who is unbelievably cute by the way!!
Hope you all have a fabulous Christmas!!!
Hugs,
Joy :o)
