okay, I am back for a couple of days from the Melbourne craft and quilt show- it was fantastic. I helped my good friend Carolyn on her stall - Veronica Violet Stitcheries - and we laughed, and groaned through the five days. It was a long time o be on your feet but the fabulous people who visited the stand made it worthwhile. Hello to everyone who stopped to say hi. We esold what seemed to be a container load of fat quarters- it was astonishing the amount of fabric that went home in our purple bags. Thanks Carolyn for letting me play for the show- I had a ball, even when my feet were hurting, even when I bashed my thigh on the bed end, it was all worth it for the Krispy Kremes and the giggles!
I met some truly lovely women who I have to mention- firstly the lovely lady from Bella Embroidery who spent ages talking to me about getting a screen print to work- HUGE NEWS!!! I finally got a design to transfer and then be a successful screen print- so thankyou!!!! to Bella Embroidery.
I also had the opportunity to speak to Nikki Tervo- as many would know this lady is Australia's leading Button designer, and she was so lovely and encouraging to speak to, her stand is awesome- there is so much to look at I think you could stand there for a week and still not see everything!
Tomorrow I will pack the car once more and head off to Wagga Wagga, for craft Alive. This being the third of four shows in as mnay months you would think I was a bit organised, but the loungeroom and kitchen are swamped with boxes and samples, and the kids are sitting on the floor to watch telly cos there is no room on the couch.
Jason is holding the fort once more on the home front. I think he secretly likes being the daddy-day-care provider. Sarah thinks he is a hero, last week he packed their lunch and the two of them went to the park for a picnic lunch! Yuppp I picked well !
Happy stitching to all, Photos of new projects when I return,
