I am a bit slow on the technology front, so this might not be such a huge revelation to everyone, but I have just discovered FACEBOOK. What an amazing, fascinating time- wasting site! I have caught up with old friends from high school and from my early work days (when I was a serious Bank employee), found an old boyfriend and checked out the photos of his kids (very cute), looked up famous names to see if they are in there (couldn't find anyone!). I've been hugged, given cyber gifts, bought by a friend and got her back by buying her, then felt bad and sent her to herself as a present. I assessed how "green" I am (20 leaves), watched some very dodgy you-tube links and basically wasted hours wandering around meeting and greeting. It brought some confronting thoughts- how do you start a conversation with someone you haven't spoken to for 18 years? Is it wrong to want to check out all my hubbys old flames, just to see where they are? How do I describe myself- Am I a stay at home Mum with an internet business, or am I a designer for the craft industry or do I just make buttons? How do you sum up 18 years of life, family, joy, sadness and all the other stuff in between in just two sentences?
If you haven't been there yet and had a play, I highly recommend it- just make sure it's on a day when you have nothing else important to do!
Now tomorrow I have to stitch twice as fast, paint heaps and not sleep.
