Oh happy happy HAPPY day! Today was my first child free day in weeks, Sarah went off to day-care and I've had a day in my office. I must confess I even ignored the house phone when it rang. I have got lots of paperwork done- the "housekeeping" of a business, as well as some painting, lovely snow white snowflakes! I have had the laser cutter going all day with lots of my button stocks in dire need of a top up. You just can't help but smile when you open the lid of the cutter and find 200 pussycats all grinning up at you!
I've also been on the hunt for screenprinting supplies- I want to have all my designs available pre-printed- I think I'll need to do lots of homework to find out exactly what is involved.
It's such a gorgeous sunny day here, hard to believe it is the middle of Autumn. Although if you could see the massive drifts of leaves in my backyard, I guess it would confirm the season.
For those of you who have wondered what my laser cutter looks like- this is it- it's basically like a REALLY big office photocopier- the timber goes in the top and it's all connected to my computer. I work in an art program (CorelDraw) and send my designs to the laser machine just by pressing print.
Then the little red light is where the laser is cutting- drawing faces on cows in this picture...lots and lots and lots of cows
And here they are all cut out, ready to be cleaned up, and lacquered,
Aren't they cute. These little guys are minis- arriving on the website this weekend in the What's New section, along with sheep, angels, hearts, sewing machines and all sorts of other mini- things!
Anyhow, I'm off to cook tea and then go to a body shop party... which is really an excuse to drink wine, eat cheese and chocolate and spend a little girl time with my friends,
Happy stitching to everyone,
